Moving Parents and Children Together (M-PACT)

M-PACT is a structured, psychosocial, educational group programme for families affected by addiction.

Supporting children aged 8 years and over and their adult family members, it is delivered to up to 8 families at a time over 10 sessions. The programme provides a safe space for children and their families to talk about the impact addiction has on them, meet others with similar experiences and find better ways to function, communicate and cope as a family.

The programme has been independently evaluated for over 2 decades and has been shown to improve family functioning, family coping and family communication.

“I learnt that my Dad’s drinking was not my fault” (13-year-old M-PACT participant)

Relationships Matter

Relationships play a significant role in our lives and the quality of our relationships has a direct impact on our wellbeing, recovery and rehabilitation.

Relationships Matter is a psychosocial group intervention, delivered over 8 one-hour sessions, which helps people to understand and focus on their relationships and explore how those relationships interact with their own behaviour.

“It’s made a big impact on my way of life. I’ve spoken to my family – they’re so proud of me.”  – Participant

Both programmes are informed by a strong evidence-base and are robustly evaluated. They are suitable for delivery across prisons, residential services, and community settings.
