Talk to us

The Forward Trust works with people facing some of the most complex and entrenched challenges in our society today - including drug and alcohol addiction, repeat offending, long term unemployment and homelessness. Our work changes lives for good and strengthens communities across England and Wales.

But the need for our services is growing.

Last year, more than 15,000 people died as a result of drugs or alcohol in the UK. Overcrowding in our prisons has reached crisis point and nearly one million young people - a staggering 13% of all those aged 16-24 - are still not in education, employment or training.

There is an urgent need to extend our services so that more people can access the vital support they need to rebuild their lives and reach their potential

As a business you have a real opportunity to make a meaningful and lasting impact, helping to save lives and offer transformational support to thousands of vulnerable individuals and their families each year.

"I feel so grateful to The Forward Trust for giving me my life back, for believing in me and guiding me through my journey. I feel hopeful for my future, and my family are seeing first-hand the turnaround in my life. To be able to go from a dark place of rock bottom to a place of happiness and hope, for me this is a miracle."

Who do we work with?

At The Forward Trust, we remain proud of our history, and of our continuing efforts to help some of the most marginalized and vulnerable people in our society.  We believe that anyone - whatever their history or circumstances - should get the opportunity and support they need to live a positive life.

We now work with around 30,000 individuals each year and actively recruit people with lived experience of the issues our service users face - currently this constitutes 30% of our entire workforce. We recognise that the more we come together, the more we can do to reach out to those who are struggling.

Our Company Partners

The companies we work with are vitally important to us and each year we invite them to various high-profile and engaging events, to celebrate our progress and offer opportunities to meet with staff, interact with service users and network with other organisations.

In recent years, we have been privileged to be joined at some of our events by our royal patron, HRH the Princess of Wales. We have also welcomed ambassadors and other celebrity supporters including Ant and Dec, Tony Adams MBE, Matt Wilis, Lilly Allen, Chris Difford, Jonathan Pryce, and Bryony Gordon.
