Our latest impact research shows that we supported over 31,000 individuals across England and Wales during 2024/25.
The expertise and financial support of our corporate partners play a vital role in our work, helping us reach vulnerable individuals when they need us most. With the continued backing of like-minded organisations, we are ambitious about the future – and aim to support 40,000 people by 2027. We believe that anyone, however marginalised and whatever their history or circumstances, should get the opportunity they need to live a positive life that fulfils their potential – enabling them to inspire others to follow the same path.
Addiction to alcohol, drugs and/or gambling is a complex mental health condition - often rooted in difficult childhood circumstances and trauma. Poverty and issues around accessing local support services are additional contributing factors.
Ex-offenders and prisoners face insurmountable challenges to stay on the right path - often facing homelessness and addictions that may have worsened during custodial sentences.
Individuals from deprived or lower socio-economic backgrounds are disproportionately affected by unemployment and insecure, low-paid work. Without stable opportunities, many find themselves unintentionally drawn into cycles of crime and addiction.
