We work with landlords to offer housing to those in need.
At The Forward Trust, we offer two accommodation models: private rented sector accommodation support − matching people in need of housing with suitable accommodation − and leasing our own supported accommodation.
The latter is for people who are not yet ready to live independently, helping teach the skills required to successfully continue their journey of recovery or rehabilitation.
Both housing models combine safe, good quality accommodation with peer support and mentoring that helps tenants to sustain tenancies. Since 2018, we have housed over 1,000 people, achieving a tenancy sustainment rate of 98%.
As well as supporting our own clients, we also work in partnership to support prison leavers and those on probation into housing. Our partners include local authority housing schemes, the Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner, and the National Probation Service.
