Our treatment programme at River adheres to our Self-Help Addiction Recovery Programme (SHARP) model. The SHARP model offers abstinence-based recovery support for individuals who are experiencing difficulties with drugs or alcohol.
Prior to admission, participants can attend the Brink of Change to prepare them for the intensive work of the programme. This is a post-detoxification, abstinence-based programme, meaning participants must be abstinent from alcohol and drugs prior to commencing the programme.
For those who successfully complete treatment there is a 12-month aftercare programme is support them in their recovery and help them to reintegrate into paid employment or volunteering opportunities.
For individuals who do not complete SHARP successfully we offer them continued support in the Brink of Change programme until they are ready to reengage with SHARP.
Our structured day treatment programme is funded by Liverpool City Council and managed by CGL. We can also accept out of area clients who have funding arrangements with their local authority community care team / T4 funding panel.
