About HMP Aylesbury

HMP Aylesbury is an adult male category C training prison situated in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Previously a Young Offenders Institute, The Forward Trust offers a range of psychosocial substance use services at this prison.

Our programmes and services

Together with our partner Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL) - our healthcare prime provider - we deliver integrated substance use services designed to meet the needs of the population of HMP/YOI Aylesbury.  

Our interventions include: 

• Bespoke group work sessions including workshop interventions to meet the needs of both the young and adult population. 
• Impulsivity and decision-making workshops. 
• Mutual aid support such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
• Resilience workshops. 
• Peer-led activities. 
• One-to-one support.

In HMP Aylesbury, we work closely with:

• Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust (CNWL).
• Geese Theatre Company.
• Breakeven.
• Other creative partnership as required to meet needs.

Referrals 

All prisoners are seen as part of their induction. If a staff member or third party makes a referral, we will assess the service user if they agree to engage.
