About HMP Bronzefield
HMP Bronzefield is a purpose built, privately run female prison in Ashford, Middlesex. Managed by Sodexo, the prison can accommodate up to 572 inmates.
Our programmes and services
The Forward Trust offers a range of trauma-informed, gender responsive psychosocial and clinical interventions to help service users.
Our services include:
- A ‘whole family approach’ - service users work with a dedicated family support practitioner who can engage with both services users and their respective family members.
- Wing-based ‘pop-ups’ to raise awareness on different areas of need, including substance use and general health and wellbeing topics.
- Shorter-rolling programmes, such as ‘Living-Safely' and pre-release workshops.
- Foreign national interventions such as managing anxiety and providing materials in different languages.
- Clinical interventions - provided by a nurse or doctor and including opiate substitution therapy (OST) and alcohol detoxification.
- Auricular acupuncture (acupuncture of the ears).
- Individual key working sessions.
- A wide range of standalone workshops and ‘in-cell’ packs aimed at harm minimisation, risk reduction, and relapse prevention.
- Co-facilitation of fellowship meetings such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA).
