Canterbury’s Forward team provides friendly, non-judgemental support, no matter what substance you use or what you have gone through in the past.
To access our services, individuals can make an online referral using the forms below, email us at canterbury@forwardtrust.org.uk or call us on 01227 201778.
We’ll take brief details after which, the individual will be allocated a keyworker who will contact them to book an initial assessment. Each assessment takes about one hour when we’ll ask about history and goals for the future.
Many of our staff have lived experience of substance use or the criminal justice system themselves, helping us to understand what our service users are going through. We also know that no one person is the same. That’s why we offer a range of different treatment options, from programmes that can support people to become completely abstinent to harm minimisation and advice on cutting down.
All our intervention options are discussed with service users at their initial assessment.
Our support is tailored to each person’s needs, so it will look slightly different for everyone.
Services at our Canterbury hub include:
One-to-one and group support.
Access to interactive digital interventions.
