A career at Forward puts you at the heart of change, whether that’s working in community drug and alcohol services, being a part of our fundraising team, or helping people directly within a prison environment . Whatever it is you do, a career at The Forward Trust could be life changing.
At The Forward Trust, we are committed to supporting our employees and recognising the hard-work and dedication that goes into supporting our clients. We offer a competitive benefits scheme, which includes:
Therapy Allowance.
We strongly believe that employees who work directly with clients require work-related clinical supervision in order to work safely and to the best of their ability. This is why eligible frontline staff can access up to £90 per month of therapy through an external registered BACP therapist.
Pensions.
In line with legislation, we automatically enrol employees into the company Group Personal Pension Scheme after three months of completed service at a rate of 4%. We match contributions made up to a maximum of 6% for the first two years. After two years of service, we then increase the contribution to 1.5 times the employee’s contribution (to a maximum of 9%).
Life cover.
We provide a group life cover scheme for all Forward employees. This provides a lump sum payment that would go directly to the nominated individuals of each enrolled employee member if they were to pass away during their employment with Forward. This is currently equivalent to twice their annual salary.
Simply Health scheme.
Employees are entitled to benefit from a scheme run by Simply Health, designed to assist with the general health and wellbeing of employees. Staff can access a wide range of benefits, including:
Discounted gym memberships.
Discounted sports equipment and family days out.
24 hours access to a GP.
New baby payment.
Up to six confidential counselling sessions.
Confidential helpline.
Financial contributions towards dental and optical treatment, vaccinations, prescriptions, health screenings, physiotherapy, diagnostic consultations, and alternative treatments.
Professional development.
It is our policy to support and encourage employees to engage in e-learning and face-to-face training that supports the development of skills required for their role. Core training is automatically provided to all staff and additional Continued Professional Development (CPD) training is supported by an application process to a central senior management training panel at the end of every quarter.
Cycle-to-work schemes and season ticket loans.
Contracted employees may be entitled to receive a season ticket loan to help with the costs of commuting to work. This is recouped through the payroll on a monthly basis. Employees can also apply to the cycle-to-work or electric vehicle schemes after successful completion of a six-month probation period.
