Before entering The Bridges, Seah had tried many different programmes to help combat her addiction issues. Despite these efforts, Sarah’s addiction always got the better of her, and she found herself severely unwell, feeling suicidal and worthless.
Sarah’s recovery worker at Forward worked tirelessly to secure her a place for 12 weeks of primary treatment. Although she was scared and unsure of what to expect, Sarah threw herself into treatment.

After just two weeks, Sarah applied for secondary treatment and was accepted. When she graduated in January 2025, she felt like a different person. Sarah went straight into a 13-week Day Rehab Programme, which further strengthened her awareness and helped her develop skills and solidify her foundation for lasting recovery.
Today, Sarah volunteers with Forward. She’s found that helping others and sharing her lived experience has been incredibly fulfilling and has further boosted Sarah’s confidence. She also works a 12-step programme, maintains regular contact and support from her sponsor, and attends NA meetings consistently, holding three service positions. Sarah is proud to be 11 months into her recovery journey.
