Forward's work is laser-focused on helping people to realise that another life really is possible, that with the right sort of help they can transform their lives for good. 

We all need a second chance sometimes, but some people can't do it themselves. The Forward Trust helps to light the way until they become strong enough to develop a steadier and healthier way of living, which can continue to benefit from strong connections with The Forward Trust's many peer networks such as Forward Connect.

How your support makes a difference

By partnering with The Forward Trust, you can contribute directly by funding residential, prison, and community-based substance use programmes, recovery services, support for families and young people, and employment initiatives.

Unrestricted funding, particularly across many years, is the most powerful way to support our mission. It provides a lifeline to those in crisis, ensuring they can access the help they need to turn their lives around.  

Grants can also support specific high-impact projects, including: 

• The Brink Café – A social enterprise supporting recovery and employment. 
• Clouds House and The Bridges - Hull – Our residential addiction treatment facilities in Wiltshire and Hull (respectively. Clouds is famed for its 40-plus year track record and The Bridges - Hull has its own proven track record in supporting men and women aged 18+. Both are 12-step residential rehabilitation centres for people, providing specialist addiction services - and each has its own (limited) availability of bursaries.
• Prison-Based Programmes – Supporting rehabilitation, re-entry, and reducing re-offending across England and Wales.
