Vision Housing
Who is this service for?
Vison housing is for people who need somewhere to live and are either in receipt of benefits or on low income. We are not able to support people who are currently abusing drugs and/or alcohol.
We are unable to accept self-referrals for this service. Referrals need to come from our designated partner local authorities or charity partners (see below).
However, if you’re not currently working with any of these organisation but need help to find somewhere to live, you can still get in touch with us by calling 0203 981 5525 or using the form below. We will do our best to link you in with other services or partners who may be able to help.
How it works
When you are first referred, we’ll conduct an assessment with you to make sure you meet our eligibility criteria.
We’ll then either:
- Match you with a suitable property
- Offer housing advice and refer you to one of our partners if we don’t have somewhere that’s right for you.
Remember: if we can’t house you ourselves, we’ll put you in touch with organisations and local authority teams who may be able to support.
Our dedicated team of Resettlement Workers will help you with everything from property viewings right through to guidance on how to sustain your tenancy. We’ll even provide you with a ‘move-in’ pack of things like pots, pans, bedding and towels, to get you started in your new home.
Our service doesn’t stop once you move in: we offer up to 12 months’ tenancy sustainment and mentoring support (often a peer with lived experience of addiction or offending) including regular visits or ‘check-ins’ by phone or video call. We’ll also link you in with our ‘Forward Connect’ peer community, as well as invite you to attend events, meetings and peer-led activities.
