HRH The Princess of Wales

HRH The Princess has long held an interest in tackling addiction, improving early years experiences and mental health. Before becoming our Patron, the Princess twice visited our substance misuse services at HMP Send, where she spoke to current and former clients about the considerable effect that experiences in the early years can have on the rest of your life.

She was also Patron of Action on Addiction (AonA), which merged with Forward in May 2021. There, she visited all AonA’s services and met many of the people the organisation worked with, including former clients who have moved their lives on in recovery after completing treatment programmes.

We are incredibly grateful to The Princess for her invaluable support in ensuring that more of the people and families access the help the need.
