Gary Stickings

Gary joined the Forward Trust in 2006 and currently leads a team delivering programme support to our services and oversees elements of training for our client facing staff and mentors. Alongside this Gary also manages The Forward Trust’s Reach Out chat service. Gary started out on one of our programmes as a trainee counsellor, working his way into different roles within the service provision of the charity. He has successfully led teams as a Programme Manager, Service Manager and Cluster Manager where he gained extensive knowledge of programme delivery within custody settings. In early 2020, he moved over to our Recovery Directorate. Using his therapeutic experience to support the delivery of our programmes across the charity, Gary’s focus is on the quality of our therapeutic interventions, our staff’s professional development and the experience our clients have of working with Forward. Gary is a qualified clinical hypnotherapist and counsellor who worked in private practice for 12 years. He is also a qualified NADA GB trainer and a CQC registered manager for Forward.
