Caroline Scott

Director of Governance & Quality Assurance

Caroline has had experience working in all 3 Norfolk prisons for both HMPS and Phoenix Futures in roles in psychology and substance misuse since 2007. During this time, Caroline was successful in setting up a new substance misuse team at a specialist sex offender prison, and in securing additional funding to the contract to work with offenders with ‘alcohol only’ substance misuse problems.
Caroline joined the Forward Trust in 2013 as Team Leader at HMP Norwich before being recruited for the new role within the Governance Team of Deputy Manager of Governance & Quality, responsible for spearheading the design and delivery of the Quality Assurance Core Audit, mapped to the CQC standards and HMIP benchmarks. Since 2016, Caroline has moved onto become Head of the Governance & Quality Assurance Department and now focuses on providing a structured governance framework that delivers assurances and compliancy to our regulators and stakeholders. Caroline is also the Safeguarding Lead for Forward and has specialist interest in domestic abuse and supporting BAME groups to access safeguarding support relevant to their cultures.
