Ivo Graham appears on Celebrity Mastermind for The Forward Trust and MS Society

Stand-up comedian and comedy writer, Ivo Graham, has recorded a new video to explain more about his reasons for nominating his chosen charities on the hit BBC quiz show.

Ivo successful finished first in the episode (broadcast March 2024) and raised £1500 each for The MS Society and The Forward Trust. Ivo scored particularly high on his special subject, ‘The Films of Philip Seymour Hoffman‘ – the acclaimed Bafta and Golden Globe award-winning American film actor who sadly passed away in 2014 after a long history of drug and alcohol addiction.

Ivo also credits his appearance also to the passing of a close friend, Tom, who was also a fan of Seymour-Hoffman.

In this short video, Ivo makes the link between Seymour Hoffman and addiction, saying (he), “….brought so much joy to so many people and was so incredibly powerful in so many different roles, but was, for much of his own life, just going through this very private struggle which so few people knew about until it was too late.”

Ivo is joined on Episode 198 by John Thomson, Poppy O’Toole, Mark Pougatch – you can watch it below:
