Employability Day (13th September) – employment support for every citizen
About Employability Day
Employability Day, set up by ERSA, is celebrating its ninth year in 2024. This year’s theme is ‘Employment Support for Every Citizen’, which is something we at Forward feel passionately about and are proud to support.
The employability work we do at Forward helps a range of people find employment, including:
- People who are not in education, employment or training
- People who run their own businesses
- Young people, ex-offenders, and people in recovery
Our work with employers
The people who access our services make excellent employees. The Forward Trust works with over 200 employers who volunteer with us to support our learners and clients with a range of activities to get them better prepared for the world of work.
Rachel Krzeminski, Head of Change and People Development from Salesforce consultancy firm iMMERSIVE, has supported our work by providing mock interviews with our clients.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed working with learners from The Forward Trust, helping them to practice their interview techniques and job preparation approach,” says Rachel. “Interviews are challenging for us all, and I hope this will build their confidence for future job interviews.”
One of our London Adult Skills learners Aleks mentioned: “I constantly struggle with interviews because I often get very anxious, but working with Forward and Rachel is helping overcome my anxieties by being better prepared and more concise in how I answer interview questions. I am pleased I decided to take part in this workshop.”
