Apprentice scheme wins national award

The Forward Trust wins HR excellence award in recognition of its Apprenticeship Scheme for people in recovery from addiction.

At a ceremony on 27th June, Forward were awarded in the ‘Best CSR Strategy’ category. This national award for the scheme shows the importance of the work Forward is doing. The Apprenticeship Scheme was launched in 2013 and so far over 80 people have been offered positions, with 76% going on to achieve permanent employment by the end of their placement. The success of the scheme shows the organisational and personal benefits of offering employment opportunities to people in recovery from addiction and ex-offenders.

As well as it’s own scheme Forward works with employers to assist them in offering opportunities to people in recovery and ex-offenders. Contact Forward to find out more.

The HR Excellence awards, run by HR Magazine, are awarded to organisations that are finding innovative ways to use HR to solve business problems whilst championing value creation through the power of people.
